Garnet - Emerald Creek

Emerald Creek Garnet is mined in the Carpenter Creek and Emerald Creek basins in Idaho, USA. Mining started in 1930; the processing plant is in Fernwood, Idaho. Deposits are an almandine Garnet with excellent properties for use in multimedia water filtration applications. Garnet is recommended as a support for other materials, such as sand, anthracite, etc. Emerald Creek Garnet is processed from crude by means of crushing, milling washing, drying and screening.
